Fenimore Art Museum - Cooperstown, NY

Steeped in rich history, the Fenimore Art Museum sits quietly overlooking the vast sparkling waters of Otsego Lake. Located in the beautiful resort town of Cooperstown, N.Y. the historical and natural beauty of this museum makes this spot a unique setting for any special event. The Museum and its grounds can accommodate the details of any function, from meetings and conferences to the most formal of weddings and receptions.
The neo-Georgian style terrace, gardens and museum provide a timeless backdrop for any event. The beautiful flagstone terraces, which surround two classical English gardens, are the perfect location for wedding ceremonies, cocktail receptions or small dinner parties. Picture your guests sitting the length of the terrace watching you and your significant other exchange vows, the lake as your backdrop.
Below the terrace, sprawls the back lawn. This lakeside lawn is the perfect place for a tented reception or event and can accommodate seating for both the most intimate of occasions to upwards of 500 people. On the lawn, your guests can watch as sailboats skirr by during the day and at night can gaze upwards at the thousands of stars from one of the famed lakeside Adirondack chairs.
For conferences or concerts, the 120-seat auditorium in the American Indian wing of the Museum is equipped for any audiovisual presentation. This location is both comfortable and private. Other portions of the museum are also available for viewing during events, pending special arrangements. Curatorial tours are available by reservation and are a great way to welcome out of town guests or provide an intimate connection between guests at your rehearsal dinner, reception or business event and your venue.
